Obergefell, Bostock and the Catholic Understanding of Sexuality

In the seminal cases Obergefell v. Hodges and Bostock v. Clayton County, the U.S. Supreme Court required states to recognize same-sex marriages and elevated sexual orientation and gender identity to protected classes.  John Bursch, Vice President of Appellate Advocacy with Alliance Defending Freedom, played a major role in both cases.  Mr. Bursch will explain the philosophical underpinnings of Obergefell and Bostock and how they relate to the Catholic understanding of the human person.
